After a lazy morning in derby, we boarded the bus to the airport at 2.15pm and flew in a float plane to the horizontal waterfalls
Were allocated a cabin, then straight out in the speedboat to look at the falls. Water too high to go through the second opening, so back to the boat for a shark feeding and optional swimming, before our second trip on the boat.
This was followed by drinks, nibbles, sunset, dinner and a good night's rest. In the morning it was sunrise, brekky and another boat ride falls flowing in this time - tide rising, then back on the seaplane for a scenic flight back to Derby.
A wonderful way to finish our Kimberley holiday.
After the flight home we headed out to Windjana gorge. Did the walk this morning, saw lots of crocs. Did the tunnel creek walk/wade. Now at fitzroy crossing.
Will go to geike gorge tomorrow, then head for halls creek, then the tanami back to Alice springs.
